Island of Eternal Spring

There are many reasons why digital nomads choose Tenerife as a destination. Known as the 'Island of Eternal Spring,' it boasts 320 sunny days a year with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. Its diverse volcanic landscapes include black beaches, towering mountains, lunar terrain, and lush Laurisilva forests.

This island offers an array of outdoor activities, from watersports to mountaineering, and its unique volcanic soil contributes to exquisite local wines.

Volcanoes & Beaches

Our house is nestled in Valle San Lorenzo, a picturesque village en route to Teide. The road often buzzes with cyclists, trail runners, and hikers heading to the volcano. Tenerife is a haven for altitude training enthusiasts. Nearby, Roque de Jama is a hike-worthy landmark, offering breathtaking views.

Just a 15-minute drive away, you'll find one of the most renowned kite and windsurfing beaches. In the opposite direction, Las Americas awaits, a surfer's paradise of its own.

Wine & Dine?

Our house features its very own wine cellar, a charming setting for wine tasting workshops. It's also the perfect place to savor Spanish tapas alongside a glass of local wine, good company, and lively conversation.

The Canarian wine culture carries a rich history. Once hailed as one of the world's finest, it even graced the palate of Poet Laureate Shakespeare, who received a barrel of this volcanic Tenerife wine each year. The island's wine heritage is rife with common references throughout history. If you've yet to experience it, you're in for a delightful treat!

A House with History

The Cactus House, one of the oldest in Southern Tenerife, has a storied past. It once operated as a gofio mill, supplying this essential ingredient for traditional Canarian cuisine and powering the village of Valle San Lorenzo. Our wine cellar, now used for wine tasting, was originally a water reserve.

Over the years it has also served as a hostel and even a dance hall. In its most recent chapter before becoming Cactus Coliving, it was a cherished family home. This house has witnessed the island's transformation into the remarkable destination it is today, capturing the essence of its evolving history.
